  • Why The Florrest?
    The Florrest is a unique property with domes immersed in a private 153 acre forest with creeks and wildlife; there's also a national forest with Indian mounds within it. It is rare to have so much natural space to yourself that is peaceful and feels out of this world. The owner Mena, established this space with the intention of being able to share the magic and harmony with others. She is passionate about wellness, transformation, aligning with lives that we love, sovereignty, and collaborating with souls who celebrate rising together. She loves hosting souls who honor the land and individual sovereignty. This is an opportunity to reconnect in nature and to rest and awaken to deep fulfillment. ​
  • How do I get to The Florrest?
    The Florrest is located by the Piedmont National forest in the state of Georgia, USA. It is 90min south of Atlanta and 30 min northeast of Macon. The best way to get here is by car. Once you are on Highway 11 (Monticello Hwy) turn east onto Otis Redding Drive; immediately you will cross railroad tracks. Count the yellow arrow signs: the forth one shows a left turn; the gate entrance to the Florrest will on your left just as you pass it. If you reached the dirt road, you just passed us. Welcome to The Florrest!
  • Will we be alone on the property?
    The host lives on the property as the steward and sacred space holder, offering additional services to expand the offering of the location. Your privacy and space are always respected. There's a team of land management, housekeeping, and pool services dedicated to the upkeep of the property. They will usually work around retreats. Pool is serviced weekly on Thursdays, 8:00-9:00am approx. If they show up, please respect their work. If you need extra privacy at certain times please let us know in advance. During 2023 (unknown time), loggers will be on the property for a few weeks.
  • How many people can stay at The Florrest?
    If you are hosting your own retreat, you have a separate room for two retreat leaders/staff in the Vibez wing, and the guest dome that sleeps 10 people (total 12). If you are gathering friends & family, you rent the guest dome which sleeps 10 people. (total 10).
  • Will my guests sign up for a retreat with shared rooms?
    In our experience, the individuals in the groups love this feature of the retreat. Rarely do retreat centers have a private room just for one individual. When you are with new people, being more than 2 can actually be more comfortable. These room are spacious and exciting due to their geometric shape. Our property and amenities provide a unique and valuable experience for retreat participants. Here are a few points to help you feel aligned with our offering: Bonding and Community: Shared rooms can actually enhance the retreat experience for many participants. It provides an opportunity for like-minded individuals to connect, support each other, and build a sense of community. The shared living space encourages interaction, collaboration, and the formation of deep and lasting connections between participants. This support your ongoing offerings with them. Privacy and Tranquility: Our retreat center is located in a private 153-acre forest. This serene and secluded environment allows your clients to connect with nature, find inner peace, and experience a true retreat away from the noise and distractions of everyday life. Exclusive Use: When you book the retreat center, you have exclusive use of the entire property. This means that only your group will be present during the duration of your event. While the rooms are shared, your participants will still have a sense of privacy. Cost-Effective Option: By offering shared rooms, we are able to keep our pricing competitive and accessible to a wider range of individuals and groups. This can be particularly appealing to participants who are seeking an affordable retreat experience without compromising on the quality of the location and amenities. Customization and Flexibility: As the retreat leader, you have the freedom to design the program and activities based on your clients' needs and preferences. Our spacious guest dome and the surrounding natural environment provide ample opportunities for various workshops, meditation sessions, outdoor activities, and personal reflection. We are committed to creating a supportive and aligned partnership to ensure the success of your retreat.   • What are the rates for a stay there?
    Nightly rates for renting this 153 acre forest are on our pricing page. 1) Family vacation (excludes event dome and Vibez wing) 2) Host your Retreat 3) Join a retreat led by Mena Prices are subject to change. Once you book, you are confirmed!
  • What are the options for meals?
    1) Create your own. Community cooking is a great experience where you plan your menu and your group prepares the meals together. There is an Ingles supermarket 12min away from the property, a Sam's club in Macon, and an Aldi's. 2) Catering. Choose and hire your favorite vendor to support the theme of your retreat and client needs. 3) Private chef. You are allowed to bring your own chef and use the kitchen in the guest dome at The Florrest. If you need a larger kitchen, please inquire.
  • What are the check-in and check-out times?
    Check-in: 4pm Check-out: 10am If you have a request, please ask us and if it's possible we are happy to be flexible.
  • What days are available for booking?
    There is a minimum of 3 nights for your stay. Explore alternative days that work for you before you make your booking call.
  • How can I book?
    If you want to book a stay at The Florrest... Start by exploring the website, view our videos, check availability, and read the Q&A section. If you just have questions, please send them to booking@theflorrest.com. Once you have gathered information on The Florrest, an idea of when you want to book and a retreat intention...
  • What are the reservation and cancellation policies?
    Once you pay the 50% deposit, your retreat is confirmed! The remainder is due 30 days before the retreat start day. If payment is not completed on time, the reservation dates may released and you can rebook. For special offers, full payment is required upon booking. Your payment implies you have read our HOUSE RULES and accept them. Any changes need to be agreed upon in written format. You have 24 hours to request a refund. After that, no refunds. To change your booking, you have up to 30 days before your retreat start day. Then, you have one opportunity to reschedule it within the following 6 months. Any changes and requests are to be in writing.
  • Do you allow wedding receptions or any other special occasion here?
    We allow intimate weddings if all the guests are staying on the property. We currently have the capacity for 12 guests. The Magenta suite is the perfect room for the newly married couple and this nature sanctuary is a unique space for a sacred union. As of the moment, we haven't applied for a permit for events (host outside guests, coming and going to the property). Please leave your email so we can keep you informed if there are changes.   • What can we do here?
    On this property, you are invited to Rest & Awaken (rest from stress and conditioning to awaken to what your soul came for). This is a canvas of infinite opportunities in a nature sanctuary. You can have a family vacation, host your own retreat, or participate in an Awaken Flowâ„¢ group or private retreat curated by The Florrest. Forest bathe, explore trails and creeks, swim, detox in the sauna, gain resilience in the cold-plunge, watch the stars from the hot-tub, catch a nap on a hammock, play disc-golf, throw some hoops, have a picnic under the willow, explore with bare feet, shoot pics of nature, play games, catch a ball, float in the pool, share a yummy meal, watch a movie together, journal sitting in the creek, do breath work in the woods, do sunrise yoga, walk to see the sunset on Otis Redding dr, drink fresh juices, relax and take in the Sun, count your blessings, gather woods and pine cones, sit around the fire, share stories, prepare some s'mores, explore the barefoot playground, balance on the slack line....
  • Are pets or service animals allowed?
    Service animals are legally required to be welcome. Pets and emotional support animals are not due to the high vibe nature of this sanctuary and past experiences that were not supportive to the whole.
  • Do you offer any extra services or activities?
    We offer a portfolio of extra magic for you to dive deeper into your experience at The Florrest. The host creates powerful space for empowerment and alignment. She curates services through many modalities to support your inner peace, mental clarity, feeling of belonging, and courage to align with a deeply fulfilling life. Explore! Options: Sound healing, intuitive consultations, Biofield tuning session, Nature adventure, fire ceremony, card reading, movement session, etc
  • Do you have a charging station for electric vehicles?
    We have a 4kW NEMA 14-50 outlet. If you'd like to charge your EV, please bring the appropriate charging cable to plug in.
